How to Take an Active Role in your Health & Wellness and Become the Heroine of Your Journey

How to Take an Active Role in your Health & Wellness and Become the Heroine of Your Journey?

Dr. Laura Ricci has a doctorate in Physical Therapy. She specializes in women’s health and pelvic floor PT, she’s a National Board Certified health and wellness coach specializing in women’s health and functional nutrition.

She is also a DoTerra (essential oils) wellness advocate with an international team.

In her words, Laura is a wounded healer. She had a rare cancer journey, lots of orthopedic surgeries for adult hip dysplasia, she’s had chronic Lyme disease, a hysterectomy in her 30’s, and various auto immune issues. She went on a journey to heal, and found that when you help others you heal in turn.

Laura reclaimed her health and wellness, found weight training, “became a beast,” and has become the heroine of her journey.

You will learn and be inspired. Please join us and listen in on our conversation. I promise you’ll be glad you did.

Not be missed take-ways:

1- What we learn on our own journey can help others and provide support. Women are here to support each other and let others know you’re not alone.

2- Sometimes we have to let go of things that are weighing us down in order thrive.

3- The only way out of a challenging time is through it. It’s hard in the trenches. Feel the feels and you get stronger going through it.

4- Essential oils aren’t a magic bullet for pain, but it can be a tool that’s safe to help support you. Can be used topically, aromatically, and (some) internally.

5- Not all essential oils are the same. There is no government agency that’s regulating quality and purity. Run away from mall, the health food store etc. They can cause more harm than good.

6- DoTerra is what she knows and trusts because of the quality, the purity and the testing.

7- Basic helpful oils to start with: lemon, lavender, peppermint and frankincense. (Listen to hear why!)

8- DoTerra oils are not in the store. You get a person to help guide you.

9- Take an active role in your health and wellness. Pull in an integrative team: nutritionist, personal trainer, doctor, functional medical doctor. You know your body better than anyone else. It is a partnership.

10- Tune in and listen to your intuition. That is the guiding light to your healing. Trust yourself. You know the next right step.

11- Getting older is a gift.

12- Take risks, face your fears. Practice self-care, it’s essential to your health and wellness. Do what you love. Stop doing things you hate. Stop being with people that suck your energy dry.

13- Start lifting weights. It’s not too late. You get strong and it will transform your life, mindset, and confidence. With self-discipline and keeping commitments to yourself, you build self -trust and self-confidence which is the highest form of self-love.
