We Answered Them!

This is an episode we didn’t expect to do and we are so excited about it!
After the last episode, we received questions from listeners and decided to answer them together in this episode. Like the last time this is totally impromptu, not planned, scripted or rehearsed, and so much fun—we think!


Once we began recording, we found ourselves bantering for a bit before getting to the questions, which elicited very thoughtful, honest, direct, and if I do say so, funny answers.

I firmly believe that loving our life is up to us. With all that life throws at us, we get to decide how we respond. Sometimes, life throws us opportunities to enhance our lives, if we choose to take risks. And sometimes it works out better than we could have imagined.

This episode is a conversation with the man who changed my life, quite literally. It is our story which begins with the magical night that led to our journey of finding unexpected love in a very unexpected place.

We share our stories and the challenges and risks we each took that changed the trajectory of both our lives. I promise that you will laugh out loud from his impromptu humor and will be surprised by his vulnerability. This is episode 129, and I suppose you could either call it the first of Season 5 after the break, or the first of Season 6 if we now go from September to June. Either way, we’re back after summer of 2026 is officially over, and it’s so good to be back.

I was recently reminded of an article I once wrote for the Orange County Register about the movie, Enough Said. It’s much more than about boy meets girl. It’s also about how other people’s opinions and baggage influence how we feel, what we see and ultimately affect our choices and actions.

These days I see this happening more and more in so many areas of our lives. Do we listen to and trust our own instincts in making choices… and even in our opinions about a movie, or do we listen more to others?

In this episode I share some of my own experiences with the above and begin with a totally unrelated frustration with our medical system.

Relationships of all kinds are ending. We’re tired, angry, and scared.

A long time ago I wrote an article reflecting on the importance of how we see things, which affects how we respond, which ultimately affects what our lives will look like and who is or is not a part of our lives. The article was inspired by a melted piece of gum on the sidewalk that looked to me like a musical note.

Well last weekend I was taking a walk and looked down and saw a small black circle next to a small hole and below that was a curved branch in the shape of a wide U. What I saw in total was a smiley face staring back at me. (See above!)

Seeing that smiley face reminded me of the concept of my previous article which led me to current events, both personal and universal which I felt compelled to talk about.

Today is a first! My special guest is Frances W Greenspan and she is an animal communicator, author and teacher who speaks with animals both alive and to those who have crossed over.

She is the author of five books on the topic “What Do Your Pets Want You to Know?”, “More Messages Your Pets Want You to Know” , “Lessons from the Animals”, “Learn to Speak with the Animals” (a class she also teaches with the same name) and “Voice for the Animals” – all available on Amazon and Kindle. She is currently working on her next book “Voice for the Animals”.

Frances tunes in telepathically to the animal’s spirit/higher self to ask questions and receive their answers. She is able to do phone readings as this connection is direct to the spirit of the animal for pets that are rescues, have behavioral issues or have passed on.

Frances shares specific stories with us, how the language of the pet owner doesn’t matter, and much more. And she is doing this while loving later life!
